About Me

Feng Zhang (a.k.a Justin Zhang) is a seasoned software engineer, AI researcher, and tech lead with proven track records on building high-availability cloud-native micro-services and making AI run faster with less resource consumption with LLM quantization technologies. Feng graduated from Auckland University of Technology as a research master of Computer and Information Sciences. He received his bachelor degree of Computer Science and Engineering from Tongji University. Between the two full-time studies, Feng had been working over two decades in software development and leadership roles at companies of diverse scales such as YesMobile, Erry, MDCL, QAD, PingAn, Yidu, and UCloud. Feng’s research interests include LLM quantization, optimization, deep learning, generative AI. Feng is inspired daily by his wife, daughter, and chacha (an adopted stray cat). In his free time, justin likes jogging, hiking, badminton and contributes to various open-source projects.
